Well, if I could have my way with the explorer, here is what I would do. I would swap the solid axle, lift, bumpers and everything into a sport trac. Then I would swap in a 5.0 from a v8 explorer, add a manual tranny and transfer case from an f150 and call it good!Stand on it!

While I`m at it, things I would like to do to the f350 are as follows. I would swap in a 6.0 power stroke, add just a lil lift and some 35"s, and repaint it an obnoxious shade of orange.Stand on it!

Been reading on grounding my throttle body I might try that when I get back. I`m having a few issues. I`m not a fan of this fly by wire yetMay 2, 2013
I`ve been thinking bout installing some of those weld on bead locks. For sure need to build a snorkel for it. But before I get goin on all the cool stuff I need to get it driveable again. Still have to put the transmission in it! This is for the explorer. I`ve got a small list of stuff for the F350 too. I was wanting to get a newer F350 with a diesel but financially it`s not in the cards for now. So I talked the wife into letting me make some changes to the truck that will make it last longer and be more functional. Some floor pans and extra bracing for the bed will make it last longer. A front mounted hitch, and a hitch mounted winch for the front to add some extra capability. As an added bonus, my trailer already has a 2" receiver at the front of the deck so I could use a hitch mounted winch on thetruck and trailer, no more having to use a come-a-long to pull dead stuff up on the trailer! And front leveling springs and a quick coat of paint (prolly rattle can) so it doesn`t look so beat down.Stand on it!
