February 24, 2006Ok I'm looking for advice on converting my 69 c/20 to a k/20. I amgoing to have about 15" of lift with 44" boggers. What do you think I should do as far as converting my suspension and all my drivetrain?

February 24, 2006I didn't see the details.
Shouldn't be too difficult. t-case, t-case linkage, front axle, and front driveshaft. Might need to modify the exhaust and steering some.
February 24, 2006if your gonna go with 44" boogers, go 1 ton everything and build up the axles
March 1, 2006Ok, In the last week or so, I've found a th400 tranny and an np208 transfer case. I deffinately know I will use the th400, but I'm not sure I'll use the 208. This truck will be for show, so I think if I rebuild the 208 it'll be fine. I would really like a 205 if anyone has one for sale. As for the axles, I've found the 14 bolt, but I can't find anybody that makes 5.13 gears for it. I also think I'm just going to go with a Dana 44 front, with limited slip and 35 spline axles. Still not sure if I'm going to use the 14 bolt, so If anybody has any suggestions at to where I should go from here, let me know.
