I found this really creepy place out in Tellico Plains...It's back behind the Miller's Chapel Church...OMG, you ever get that feeling something bad happend and it's time for something bad to happen to you?!?!? That was the feeling I got when I came down this little logging road in the woods. I was driving an old '75 C10 that had been converted to a 4WD 3/4 ton truck. It was her maiden voyage. I never saw any no trespassing signs...As I descended this hill, around the corner I saw a small cabin of sorts. Looked like midgets lived there or something...really low to the ground. That was on the left and on the right was shed/shack. The road goes inbetween it and stops in a big 'ol mudhole! Of course I had to park right in the middle of it to go check this place out. I had a few friends with me, they brought 3 4 wheelers. After I got out of the truck, I went over to the front of the house and started saying,"Hello....anyone there?!?!?!" Of course I had to open the front door and peek inside. The ceilings were no more than 5' off the ground. There was clothing, filth, and misc. other junk all over the place, but it looked inhabitable for the past few years... After checking out the house we went over to the shed/shack and looked in there. That's when I got creeped out! There were tons and tons of childrens clothes all over the place and then I looked up...there were ROPES hanging from the ceiling *sheez...i get shivers thinking about it*...All of us got on/in our wheelers/trucks and were taking off. I got in that Chevy and knowing that I was in a mud hole, locked the hubs, put it in 4-lo and ever so lightly let my foot off the clutch...BLAM! the yoke on the driveshaft broke! At that point I was thinking - Texas Chainsaw Massacre! I layed right in that nasty, smelly mudhole, got out the 1/2" box wrench and ripped that driveshaft out of my truck faster than NASCAR can change a tire@! While I was trying to back out, I just spun and spun and spun (bald tires = no grip
). I had all 3 4wheelers attached by thier winches pulling on me. Finally we got me out (about 3/4 of a tank later!) and off we went...I told everyone else to go first because I wasn't letting off the gas all the way back up the hill climb!
That was the creepiest, wierdest, strangest thing I ever found off-road!
Oh, I also found an outhouse...that was wierd too...just out in the middle of nowhere...Strange things out there in Tellico...
